Plantronics Discovery 975 Bluetooth Headset The audio quality on the Discovery 975 was definitely NOT as good as the Jawbone, whose noise cancelling was far preferable. On my old Jawbone, I often called people from airports right under the speakers and people didn't even know I was in the airport. With the Discovery and Voyager, people definitely comment on hearing background noise. Once with the Discovery 975, I was opening a printer paper package. My caller said it sounded like a lightening storm. A similar noise wouldn't have garnered a comment on the Jawbone.

The recharging case for the Discovery 975 is the deal maker for me. If you use a blue tooth headset less than 4 hours per day, I would definitely chose the Jawbone Prime. However, the battery life and battery charging case on the Plantronics means that I can use the headset all day instead of 4 hours. My Jawbone was usually dead by noon. With the Discovery, I can talk on it for two hours, head into a meeting, tuck it into its protective case, and its recharged and ready at the end of the meeting. I almost always make it to the end of the day with plenty of charge using the Discovery.

I have an ear that typically can't stand an insert ear bud. The only ear bud headphone that works for me belong to my 6 year old's Barbie MP3. Nonetheless, the Discovery standard ear bud DOES work for me.

I wear glasses and really had my doubts about the over the ear design, but it was not an issue at all. The headset is so light i forgot I was wearing it. The ear bud basically just fits in your ear and is very comfortable. I could only go 2 hours with my jawbone before my ear would start to hurt... This guy i can keep in all day.

The other nice thing I liked about this headset was that you could move the boom mic up and down. This made it very easy for people to tell if I was on a phone call or not, especially those long conference calls when most of the time I am on mute.

Besides the design and tech aspects of the headset, what really won me over was the mute button during a call. It is so easy to click the button to mute instead of fishing for my phone in the car or in my pocket. Having dedicated volume rocker as well is pretty awesome. Connecting to phones is much much faster then my jawbones.

This headset syncs easily on my Samsung Gravity Touch or PS3 if you happen to play video games online. The sound quality is good for an average priced headset. I don't have any problems with disconnects or voice transmission.

I have also owned other headsets that tend to want to move or feel like they are going to fall off. Not a problem with this one, it's held securely in place and is fairly comfortable.

I love the battery life on this headset and it will last me at least 8 hours of constant use. I usually stick with a Motorola headset because most of them also have good battery life. I have had many headsets that only last for about 4 hours and I didn't like that at all. You can get a lot of use out of this headset without constantly recharging it.

This headset will come with a wall charger and it's covered by a 1 year limited warranty. For the price I think this is one of the better headset options at the present time.
